Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC friend of hers is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai Kickboxer began her fight sports career at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina was able to follow it up, and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 a gold medal in 2011, and was the 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in at the age of 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 as well as The Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final bout took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut was in 2002, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was victorious by TKO after round two and her two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing after which she took a lengthy time off in MMA. She returned in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimous decision and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. Following the league's dissolution in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used superior striking to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the fight. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The bout earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a win in her first three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
